William Weege Exhibit

We were so pleased to host a retrospective show featuring the works of renowned printmaker, William Weege (1935-2020) at the gallery in June.

The Opening Reception was: Saturday, June 4th, 5pm – 9pm
and the Show Ran: June 4th – July 8th, 2022

Weege’s works can be found worldwide in numerous private collections and museums including The Museum of Modern Art in New York, The Art Institute of Chicago, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. We were so happy to be able to share them with you right here in Mineral Point.

Below are some photos taken from April, when we went to visit his Arena studio. May when we (and Weege’s family and friends) set up the exhibit on the main gallery wall. Photos from the opening reception in June and the completed exhibit as it looked all of June until it was taken down in July. Please enjoy.

William Weege: Looking Back – 50 Years of Printmaking

We hope to have more of Weege’s work available for purchase at a later date. This post will be updated to reflect that when the time comes.
